    Dr. Doron Danino holds a bachelor's degree (BA) in Biblical and Land of Israel Studies (extended), a bachelor's degree (LLB) in Law, and a Master's (MA) and PhD in Jewish History.
    His doctoral thesis, The Significance and Essence of the Argument about Faith in Metempsychosis, in the Jewish Communities of Venice, Amsterdam and Hamburg, in the Seventeenth Century' (Bar-Ilan University, 2010), was written under the supervision of Prof. Moshe Orfali.
    He has been teaching at the school for basic Jewish studies since 2009.
    Dr. Danino's main research and teaching areas are the Judaism of Spain, the Maghreb, and the Middle East, with a special emphasis on the Sephardic identity in today's state of Israel. In addition, Dr. Danino teaches about Halacha and Eastern Jewish heritage in comparison to the Arab heritage and the Muslim Sharia.
    In addition, Dr. Danino serves as a lawyer, mediator and arbitrator, as a rabbi in the Tzohar rabbinical organization, in 2013-2014 he was the chief of staff of MK Naftali Bennett in his role as Minister of Religion, in 2012-2016: he served as a member of the committee on behalf of Oxford to examine the state of equality in Israeli society, and from 2015 until today, Dr. Danino serves as a senior consultant at the Herbert Kelman Institute (HKI) for Interactive Conflict Transformation, and through the institute represents Israel's policy in international forums in Europe, in the administration of the United States and in the countries of the Middle East.
