Dr. Rachel Frish
CV
Rachel Frish holds a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Bar-Ilan University. Her doctoral dissertation, supervised by Elie Assis and Nili Samet, explored the intersection of wisdom and prophetic traditions in the Book of Jeremiah, examining their mutual influence and its implications for the development of later strata in biblical and post-biblical wisdom traditions.
Her research and teaching focus on prophetic and wisdom literature from the Hebrew Bible through the late Second Temple period. She is especially interested in the evolving figure of the sage and in the relationship between divine and human wisdom, both within and beyond wisdom literature.
Dr. Frish is also a Research Fellow at the Kogod Research Center for Contemporary Jewish Thought at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. Alongside her academic work, she has studied and taught Hebrew Bible, Talmud, and Halakha in various batei midrash.
