This course explores the philosophical dimensions of Hannah Arendt’s "Eichmann in Jerusalem" and her reflections on evil, antisemitism, and the Holocaust as an unprecedented crime against humanity. Through close reading of key passages, students will clarify Arendt’s real positions on controversial issues, examine her notion of the Shoah’s singularity, and consider her engagement with Kantian ethics. Designed as a discussion-based seminar, the course encourages critical dialogue and independent reflection on antisemitism, racism, and their contemporary relevance.
