Dr. Amichai Cohen

Dr. Amichai Cohen earned his three degrees in the Department of Talmud at Bar Ilan University.

 The doctoral thesis dealt in the field of 'Hebrew law', in the analysis of the Talmudic and post-Talmudic sources of the law of 'Bar-Mitzra' - first right to purchase property). The writing of the thesis was directed by Prof. Yosef Rivlin and it received the grade 'excellent'. In the years after completing his doctorate, Dr. Amichai Cohen published several articles in the field of Hebrew law.  In recent years, he has written a comprehensive book on the subject: 'The moral limits of power' in the light of the Bible, Halacha and Jewish thought.
